Schedule of Events
Two days of breakout sessions taught by industry leaders will provide attendees with valuable resources in the blossoming fields of human resource development, employment specialization and support services. A Career fair (open to the public) on day three will facilitate dialogue and promote hiring and placement for dozens of local businesses and potential employees.
Breakout Sessions will be divided into two tracks:
Supporting Power Track - Created for those employed in supported employment coaches/representatives, (assisting those with disabilities and hard-to-place individuals through training for employment). Breakout sessions taught by experts in the field will help enhance management and provide information on growth opportunities in the field. Will be eligible for Continued Education Units (CEUs).
Hiring Power Track - Created for Human resource managers, temporary agencies, hiring managers, small business owners, and others in a position to hire. Breakout sessions taught by industry experts will focus on inclusiveness, diversity and acceptance in human resources and provide valuable information on developing a culture of acceptance, ideal interview techniques, and on laws and regulations regarding hiring people with disabilities and other challenges. Will be eligible for CEUs.
Stephanie is a Disability Fashion Styling Expert, taste maker and keynote speaker. Guided by her Disability Fashion Styling System, she creates brands, footwear, and accessories for people with disabilities.
